The Bible Stands

 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth, but the word of our God shall stand for ever! Isaiah 40:8 KJV
 

            When faced with evolution's fallacy, a melodious hymn rings truer, fuller, louder in my ears, "The Bible stands every test we give it for its Author is Divine...Its pages burn with the truth eternal and they glow with a light sublime."  

            As Christians we stand on the Word of God-- an unmovable, fixed foundation.    From reading the first verse in the first chapter of the Bible, we can know the beginning of this world's existence.   We can see the Divine Fingerprints impressed on the beautiful, complex world we survey.   The Bible-our rulebook-provides us with a reinforcement, a documentation of the evidence that points to an amazing Creator.  

            Yet Christians who believe in the Genesis account of creation are ridiculed as displaying stone-cold ignorance for not believing in Darwin's ideas on origins.  Why don't we believe in Darwin's hypothesis?   For this reason: God has provided mankind with His Inspired Word that surpasses all man's knowledge which serves to sharply penetrate fallacy (Hebrews 4:12).   Darwin's century old hallucinations just don't survive the Bible's probing!   The gleaming light of God's Word illuminates the lurking shadows of deception within Darwinian evolution.   

            The doctrine of evolution is entirely spineless, offering its followers nothing but vain imaginings and false claims.  Thus, followers of Darwin's doctrine aren't sure of anything! The evolutionary "props" are constantly being kicked out from under them.  Leading evolutionists keep changing their minds about the conclusions of their own assumptions! The dates change, the evidences change, the interpretations change, the rules change, etc... They are like the unstable, wavering man of James 1:6 that tosses to and fro with every wave.   The Darwinian rule book is not a resource of truths that can be relied on, proven or tested.  Evolution has no foundation- just a soggy, shifting, eroding pad of man's ideology.

           Christians who hold to the miracle of Creation are grounded by the same principles.  Our Rule Book does not change.  The Bible backs us up with genuine, steady, substantial truths of a Sovereign God, not vain, wavering, groundless imaginings of mortal man.  To Christians, the Bible is a resource so different, so superior to evolutionist's works of Darwin.  The Word of God is rich in Its offerings:   

         How can we be certain this book contains the Truth?  Can we be certain it is not just another dusty book of false religion? 

     The Bible in itself is nothing but a Book of pages.  If there were a fire, the Books would burn!  However, it's more than just some good prophet's writings.  God tells us in the Bible that He breathed and inspired the scriptures (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20).  And the Bible has an even greater support for Its scriptures containing the Word Of God.  Christ Jesus is the Word Of God made flesh. Christ is the original, genuine source of Truth.   Because Christ lives, Truth lives.   This signifies why the Bible endures to all generations!  The Word of God existed before man was even created!  The Word of God remains concrete regardless if all the Bibles of this earth were destroyed.  Because of what God has established in His Son as The Word of God, we can read the Bible with confidence of knowing a truthful, everlasting Message that will not fade away through the course of time.   

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God…And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt with us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth." (John 1:1, 14 KJV)

 In Christ we are rooted.  That's our foundation.

"For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ." (1 Corinthians 3:11 KJV)   

 He is the same yesterday, today and forever.  That's our security. 

"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today and forever." (Hebrews 13:8 KJV)

He died in our place and overcame death.  That's our hope. 

"According to His own purpose and grace… now made manifest by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel." (2 Timothy 9b, 10 KJV)

He's coming again for His own.  That's our future!!!

"When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory!" (Colossians 3:4 KJV)

Why would we want to believe anything else?
